“Wise Moon Rising: A Girl’s Rite of Passage Into Sacred Womanhood”…This is the working title of our film, a collaboration between John Jordan-Cascade, an Oregon-based filmmaker and Georgette Star, educator, spiritual guide and founder of Maiden Spirit, a young girls support program based in Portland, Oregon.

“Wise Moon Rising” offers an inspiring glimpse into the heart of the Maiden Spirit Spirituality and Rite-of-Passage program, which is the gradual and intentional preparation for a girl’s conscious and celebrated rite of passage into sacred womanhood at menarche (first moon or period).

Through the work of Cascade Creative Productions I seek to create projects that are innovative, inspiring and challenging.

I strive to learn compassion, forgiveness and gratitude: from the people in my life and from humble, unexpected teachers.

I strive to learn new ways to lift up humanity’s awareness of constructive new/old ideas for a new millennium.

I will continue to reach out to those who are working toward the same goals. Good work, done in the spirit of cooperation and with a compassionate heart can and will change the world.

Sangat Precision – American Made!

Angie Thusius, founder of Kentro Body Balance, explains the origins and benefits of her well-researched movements. Several Ashland, Oregon-area health practitioners stepped forward to enthusiastically provide testimonials for Angie and Kentro as a form of body therapy. This is a work in progress and not yet available for distribution, but do let me know if you think you’d like a copy and I’ll ask Angie to send you a DVD when it’s been finalized.

This is an example of a simple, inexpensive video piece created for a Eugene-based jazz quartet (ElegantM) to showcase their talent and style for prospective venues.
